With big data and increased processing power, AI started gaining tremendous momentum in the last few years. It looks like it is taking over the world. Is it? Will it? A friend or a foe? A villain or an assistant? Our master in training or our ally? Let's peek into what it really is.

AI are just computer programs, sophisticated ones. Let's take a closer look at the elements that contribute to their intelligence.

Understanding some of the fundamental concepts can help us feel more comfortable, aware and empowered when, in many aspects of our daily lives, we interact with AI applications and tools.

While AI has gained significant attention recently, it is not a novel concept. Upon reviewing intelligent technologies, you may find that you have been interacting with AI longer than you realized.

For software engineers, you might realize that you have been developing AI applications without fully recognizing it. Now, you might want to try some technologies and tools formally listed under AI .
