Agentic Power BI Report Building with PBIR CLI
Details
The semantic model side of Power BI has moved a long way: TMDL, Tabular Editor, MCP servers, and agent-assisted workflows are all making model work more scriptable. The report and visual layer has been harder to manage the same way. When reports live mostly behind the Desktop GUI, inspecting bindings, changing visuals, validating layouts, and folding report checks into CI/CD all take more manual effort than they should.
Which is why our next Wellington Power BI & Fabric User Group session is on Agentic Power BI Report Building with PBIR CLI: using the terminal to inspect, build, and automate Power BI reports.
We've got Maxim Anatsko joining us for the session. Maxim is a Principal Power BI & Fabric Consultant and creator of SemanticOps, DAXBench, and TMDL Explorer. He'll cover:
š How PBIR CLI exposes Power BI report contents, pages, visuals, and field bindings from the terminal
š ļø Creating and modifying report pages and visuals without being locked into the Desktop GUI
š¤ How PBIR CLI can support AI agents, report validation, backups, conversion, and CI/CD-style workflows
ā±ļø 45 minutes of content, 15 minutes for Q&A.
