Bring your open water certification card.

Please show up with your course book filled out.

You've been out of the water for a while ... maybe a little rusty in your skills. You'd like a supervised setting in which to refresh those skills. This course is exactly what you need.

This is a PADI Scuba Tuneup course given by a certified and insured PADI instructor.

TIME: 7:30 am

LOCATION: We'll meet on the grass at the flagpole just South of the main lifeguard tower.

COST: $60 for group class (payable to Power_Video at yahoo.com through PayPal.com after you RSVP on the right.)

MATERIALS: You must buy the latest edition of the PADI Scuba Tuneup book from a local PADI dive shop, read the book, and answer all the questions therein. Please ensure you read the book WELL BEFORE coming to the beach!

Course consists of a discussion of the material in the book, answering any questions or concerns you might have, and then a dive where we'll practice many of the skills you learned in Open Water class and perhaps a bit of a tour to the rim of the underwater canyon. Course will take approximately four hours to complete.

You must bring all your own scuba gear and accessories:

Tank, regulator assembly, BC Appropriate weight (10% of your body weight plus 8 pounds {max}) Mask, fins, snorkel 7 mm wetsuit, gloves, hood, booties APPROPRIATE FOR SOCAL WATERS Whistle Water-resistant watch or dive computer The Tables (or dive computer) Optional (but highly recommended): Knife, safety sausage, compass PARKING: If parking is bad, drop off your gear at the curb and then seek a spot.

By the way: This class is NOT a replacement for an open water beginner course. If you can't remember most of what you learned in open water class... take an open water class again. Perfectly legitimate to do so. Know and understand your ability.

I will have liability waivers and medical questionaires for each of you when you arrive. If you have a medical condition which would counter-indicate diving you must postpone your diving until that situation is resolved. Do not dive with a counter-indicative medical condition.

Looking forward to seeing you at the beach!

-Bill
