Abstract:
Marcin zaprezentuje zawiłości pracy z AWS Glue, pokazując, jak odblokować dodatkowe korzyści wydajnościowe poprzez dodawanie zewnętrznych sterowników JDBC przy użyciu pakietów JAR.

Bio:
Senior Cloud Data Engineer w firmie Future Processing. Posiada ponad 10 lat doświadczenia zdobytego w różnorodnych branżach, takich jak farmacja, handel detaliczny, finanse, motoryzacja, media i ubezpieczenia.

Jacek Laskowski: Spark Declarative Pipelines (Apache Spark 4.1.0-SNAPSHOT)

Abstract:
Jedną z nowych możliwości nadchodzącego Apache Spark 4.1 będzie możliwość deklaratywnego tworzenia przepływów (ETL pipelines). Stąd nazwa Spark Declarative Pipelines (SDP). Jeśli kiedykolwiek miałaś/-eś/-liście przyjemność użyć Delta Live Tables (DLT) w Databricks to SDP jest jego "open source"-owym odpowiednikiem. Zawsze chciałem przejrzeć bebechy DLT i teraz mamy taką sposobność! Notabene, Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines (LDP) (poprzednio znane jako Delta Live Tables (DLT)) w Databricks to managed Spark Declarative Pipelines z vanilla open-source Apache Spark z dodatkami. Zaprezentuję SDP w nadchodzącym Sparku 4.1 od strony użytkowej i inżynierskiej. Zaprezentuję definicje przepływów w SQL i Python w ramach projektu ETL, ale (co bardziej zaawansowane i "spicy") pokażę, w jaki sposób "pożeniono" SQL i Python oraz Spark Connect do stworzenia Spark Declarative Pipelines.

Czego się nauczysz (dowiesz na żywo):
1. Stworzysz projekt SDP
2. Stworzysz definicje przepływów w SQL i Python
3. Poznasz sposób "połączenia" SQL, Python oraz Spark Connect do stworzenia Spark Declarative Pipelines.

Daniel Hulme: Rethinking AI and how Agents impact Business and Humanity

Abstract:
Working in academia, the public and private sectors, Daniel is a globally recognised expert in Artificial Intelligence as well as its applications and the social, commercial, economic and ethical implications. In a world where many believe access to more and more data will lead to ever better decision-making, he looks at what AI really is, as well as identifying the current and future challenges and opportunities for agentic. Daniel provides a radical new framework for thinking about AI, and discusses how organisations can practically adopt these AI and Agentic technologies and avoid being seduced by the hype. He argues that whilst these technologies are incredible at creating growth and streamlining operations, for companies to stay innovative they need to augment AI and agents to unlock the creative capacity of their workforce. Daniel also covers the macro impact these technologies may have on business and humanity over the coming decades.

Dr. Daniel Hulme is a globally recognised expert in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and investor in emerging technologies. He's the CEO of Satalia, an award-winning AI company that was acquired by the world's largest marketing company in 2021, WPP, where he is now the Chief AI Officer. Daniel has been recognised as one of the world's leading keynote speakers as well as one of the top ten Chief AI Officers globally. Amongst his many technology investments, Daniel is also Founder and CEO of the World's first commercial research organisation to understand Machine Consciousness, Conscium.
With over 25 years academic experience with AI, Daniel received his Masters and Doctorate in AI at UCL. He was previously Director of UCL’s Applied AI Masters Programme, where he is now UCL’s Computer Science Entrepreneur-in-Residence.
