National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer and more caring places to live. It takes place on the first Tuesday of August each year. The event encourages neighbors to get to know each other, interact with local law enforcement, and participate in activities.
