Charleston Urban Session - Composition, lighting, and posing with Models

Details
Do you wish to make one last trip to the beach before winter? This is a great time to visit the low country, as the coolness of fall makes exploring this gorgeous old city a much more enjoyable place.
Perhaps you have never been to Charleston yet? If not, you don't know what you are missing!
So don't delay, RSVP now, and join us for this upcoming weekend event.
Spaces are limited but I wanted to offer a few spots to my other groups outside of the Charleston area.
We will be working in the old downtown area near waterfront park. I am attaching a link to see a gorgeous image of the park and where we will be meeting. We will be walking a short distance from the park though, so please wear comfortable walking shoes.
I will be arranging several models for this - depending on the number of photographers on the RSVP list.
There will be plenty of models to work with, practice, and capture amazing portfolio images.
The 1st 30 minutes will be for introductions and gathering and we will begin shooting at 4:00pm.
I will be teaching composition when working with a portrait subject, using urban structures, and proper lighting techniques. We will be working mostly with natural light, however, if you like adding strobes to your session and wish to bring them along, you are welcome to do so. I may or may not use some of my own.
No experience is necessary to come to this event. You just need a camera and at least one lens.
This workshop is for the beginner to the advanced. If you are very new and wish for some instruction, I will be teaching with one model at a time, to those of you who request this. For the more advanced members who join us, you may photograph and capture images of the the models as you like. I just always ask that everyone shares and collaborates with one another their ideas and vision.
You will learn:
How to scout for good locations for an urban session
How to creat variety in a very easier than you think in one location
How to scout for great textures
How to see composition when adding a subject to the image
How to find great available light or add to the light when neccessary
I will have a reflectors with me and demonstrate how to use it properly. I will also give some help with posing, and show teach basic camera skills, like metering, focus, and depth of field choices.

*Please note: You are REQUIRED to upload your images to this website within 2 weeks of an event. The models are allowed to ask you for 2 full resolution images for them to print from and the rest you may share digitally if like, and leave your watermark on. This is the exchange for the models time and for the model release that allows you to use them within your websites and portfolios. However, the release is not signed for you to sell them to 3rd party sites. If you sell to stock photography sites, you will need to bring your own release and ask the model before shooting if he/ she is willing to allow you to do so.

P.S. I always encourage you to check the Meetup site the day of the event, for any changes on the event, before driving to us.
