The current state of nuclear power in our energy future
Details
Speaker - Dr. Aitor Bracho, PhD Physics, Duke University
A little about Dr. Aitor: "I recently defended and graduated with my PhD in nuclear physics from Duke University. My research has impacts on reactor monitoring for nuclear nonproliferation purposes, as well as nuclear energy development. I've done some work on small modular reactors both on the development side and the policy side. I'm generally interested in decarbonization, and I see nuclear as a means by which to achieve that. Nonetheless, I'm also reasonably cautious about the cost and risks of building nuclear power so I try to take a more measured (and I would argue realistic) approach to its benefits and the promises it can make."
