What we’re about
You've probably heard of the fastest-growing sport called Pickleball, but now you want to know "What is Pickleball?" and "How do I play?" Well, I can help.
My name is Morgan Quinn (Coach Quinn) and I'm an IPTPA Certified Pickleball Instructor. After years of coaching, and taking classes on how to teach pickleball better, I would like to help you learn the great game of Pickleball.
I've chosen to incorporate the P.O.W.E.R. Formula into my classes to help beginners and intermediates learn the do's and don't of the game. The P.O.W.E.R. Formula is a great tool to help you remember what to do while you are playing.
My beginner class will explain the equipment, the rules, and the safety aspect all while having fun learning and playing. I will also teach you the P.O.W.E.R. Formula so you can continue to work on your skills after you've completed the class. If you don't have a paddle, no worries. During part of the class, I explain the dos and don't of buying a paddle and provide you with a paddle during the class and your homework.
If you already know the basics/rules and have played a little, let me help you improve your game strategy by incorporating the P.O.W.E.R. Formula into what you already know.
If interested, watch out for when one of my classes will be posted. The type of class and the cost/rate will be posted in each event's description.

- Private Comprehensive Pickleball Class - Part 1 - For Angela Stamatouli GroupQuioccasin Middle School, Richmond, VA$90.00
Welcome to the P.O.W.E.R. Pickleball Instructional Class (PPIC).
This comprehensive class is designed for beginners, advanced beginners, and intermediate players, as it covers most aspects of pickleball and includes the P.O.W.E.R. Formula. Many individuals who have taken other classes, or who have been playing for a year or more, have stated that they learned a lot from this class. Please read all the information below to understand how to attend.
WHAT IS PICKLEBALL: Pickleball is a fun, low-impact, low-key game that combines Tennis, Ping Pong, and Badminton into one sport. One of the great things about pickleball is that it has a short learning curve. However, like most sports, it has many rules. So I've developed this class to help you learn the basics, enjoy the fun game of pickleball, and teach you the P.O.W.E.R. Formula to help you progress to the next level.
AVAILABILITY: This is a private class for Angela Stamatouli and her three guests. If interested in a class for yourself, email me.
WHEN: This class is broken down into two 3-hour classes. The first class will be held on Saturday (May 17th) and will start at 8 am. Then you will come back the next week on Saturday (May 24th) and take the second class that starts at 8 am.
WHERE: This class will be held at Quioccasin Middle School on the tennis courts, which are located behind the school. To access them, enter the bus ramp, which is on the right-hand side of the school, where it says "Do not enter Buses only". You will see my PPIC yard signs. Drive all the way down the bus ramp and park somewhere in the center. There you will see four tennis courts. This class is on the furthest tennis court. You will have to walk through two gates to get to it, but just follow my PPIC yard signs. Quioccasin Middle School does not have bathrooms. You can either use the woods or drive up to the local Kroger or Sheetz.
WHAT TO BRING: When you attend, you will need to bring water and maybe a snack. A Hat and sunscreen are also advised. If you have already purchased a pickleball paddle, bring it. If you have not, paddles and balls are provided for this class and your homework. Near the beginning of class, we will go over the dos and don'ts of buying a paddle.
IMPORTANT EQUIPMENT INFO: For your own safety, I STRONGLY recommend that you wear court shoes while attending this class. Court, Tennis, or Pickleball shoes are designed to give you stability and keep you safe while playing. Running Shoes do not give you stability and can lead to injuries while playing Pickleball.
ITINERARY: This class is packed with lots of useful information and is structured to fill the 3 hours, so it NEEDS to start on time. Please do NOT be late. The first hour is all classroom. We go over experience, equipment, and safety. The second hour is learning ball control and how to keep score. The third hour is how to LEGALLY serve, positions, and then a game at the end to put everything you just learned together.
The second 3-hour class will consist of everything you learned in the first class, plus you will learn the P.O.W.E.R. Formula and how to improve your serve. Then we will have multiple real games with the instructor. After attending these two classes, you should be ready to play Pickleball with anyone, anywhere.
COST: A one-time fee of $90 is required for these two consecutive classes and must be paid in advance.
VERY IMPORTANT: Once you've RSVPed for this class, you will need to submit your payment. The payment covers your spot for this week's and next week's classes. If you pay and can not attend or "no show" there will be no refunds or switching weeks. Please ensure that you can attend before making your payment.
HOW TO PAY: Feel free to pay me, Morgan Quinn, by Cash App, Venmo, or Zelle.
My CashApp account is: $PowerPickleball
My Venmo account is: @PowerPickleball - Verification code 5768
My Zelle account is my email: PowerPickleball@hotmail.com
CANCELLATIONS: If I have to cancel the class because of weather or any of my medical issues, then you will be fully refunded. If you've attended the first class and the second class is canceled, then together we will figure out a make-up day and time for the second class.
HOMEWORK: What's a class without homework? Before you attend the class, it is helpful to watch these two short videos to explain the basics of playing Pickleball and how to keep score.
