You've probably heard of the fastest-growing sport called Pickleball, but now you want to know "What is Pickleball?" and "How do I play?" Well, I can help.
My name is Morgan Quinn (Coach Quinn) and I'm an IPTPA Certified Pickleball Instructor. After years of coaching, and taking classes on how to teach pickleball better, I would like to help you learn the great game of Pickleball.
I've chosen to incorporate the P.O.W.E.R. Formula into my classes to help beginners and intermediates learn the do's and don't of the game. The P.O.W.E.R. Formula is a great tool to help you remember what to do while you are playing.
My beginner class will explain the equipment, the rules, and the safety aspect all while having fun learning and playing. I will also teach you the P.O.W.E.R. Formula so you can continue to work on your skills after you've completed the class. If you don't have a paddle, no worries. During part of the class, I explain the dos and don't of buying a paddle and provide you with a paddle during the class and your homework.
If you already know the basics/rules and have played a little, let me help you improve your game strategy by incorporating the P.O.W.E.R. Formula into what you already know.

WHAT: Every year, I host a Pool Party for my main Meetup group, Get Out Today RVA. This year, I'm excited to extend the invitation to everyone in my Power Pickleball group. I hope you will join me for a fun and relaxing time!
WHEN: Saturday, July 26th - The event begins at 3 pm. The party goes on all day and ends at 10 pm. You can arrive and leave whenever you want. Clean-up starts immediately at 10 pm, and we need to be finished and gone by 11 pm.
RAIN DATE: As of right now, there is NO RAIN DATE.
WHERE: This private residence is located in Chesterfield County, just 4 minutes from Rockwood Park. For now, I've pinned the map to Rockwood Park. The full address will be sent out on Saturday morning to everyone who has made their payment.
PARKING: Carpooling is highly encouraged. Some parking is available in the driveway, while the remainder is on the street. Please do not block any of the neighbors' driveways.
WHAT IS BEING SUPPLIED: A Saltwater pool, the patio, an area for drinks and food, tables, chairs, hand sanitizer, a beer pong float, riding bull float, several other floats, beach balls, giant Jenga, ladder ball, and cornhole.
As for the food, I will provide some fried chicken, Ice, cold bottled water, and all necessary paper and plastic products. (plates, napkins, cups, utensils, etc.)
WHAT TO BRING: Yourself, a Great Attitude, A SIDE DISH, Your Favorite Adult Beverage, a Bathing Suit, a Towel, and Sunblock. You may want to bring a chair, also.
WHAT NOT TO BRING AND/OR DO:
- No one under 21 is allowed.
- No Bad Attitude.
- No disrespect to the owner's place.
- No one is allowed in the house except to use the bathroom.
- Dry yourself off before entering the bathroom.
- No Eating or drinking in the pool.
- Absolutely No Running or diving.
- Absolutely No Peeing in the pool.
- Absolutely NO GLASS AT ALL! If you have any glass items, when checked in at the gate, you will have to put them back in your vehicle.
IMPORTANT INFO: This event is open to the FIRST 30 members of gotRVA, Pickleball for All, and Power Pickleball, as well as their plus one. This includes me as well. Please encourage your guests to join gotRVA so they can RSVP themselves.
If you RSVP and do not pay within 24 hours, you will be moved to the waitlist. Once you've paid, you will be moved back to the attending list.
COST: $20.00 per person.
This is a PRE-PAY ONLY EVENT! Meaning there will be no money collected at the pool. Once I've received your payment, I will mark you as paid. There are NO refunds, except if this event is rained out. The cut-off to pay is 12 noon the day of the event.
