SPECIAL EVENT: Coach Quinn's 8th Annual New Years Eve Party

*** This year's Annual NYE Party will be quite different, so make sure you READ ALL OF THE DESCRIPTION BELOW before RSVPing.***

WHAT: Each year, I host a big New Year's Eve Party for my group, Get Out Today RVA. Now that you're a part of P.O.W.E.R. Pickleball, you are invited to. Get ready for a fun and fantastic night at Get Out Today RVA's Annual New Year's Eve Party! Join us for a midnight champagne toast, karaoke, games, delicious food, and great music. Don’t miss out on this amazing night with friends!

This year, I will not be building a dance floor as I have in the past. Instead, I will set up a four-mic karaoke system that lets up to four people sing at the same time. Before attending, please search on YouTube for karaoke songs that you would like to perform, and bring your song list to sing. We can't wait to hear you share your vocal talents!

In between karaoke performances, you are also welcome to play your favorite songs to dance to. You can find these songs on YouTube as well.

If karaoke isn't your thing, I will also have tables and chairs set up for everyone to enjoy board and card games. We will have some fun games on hand, but please feel free to bring your favorite games. Maybe someone will join you!

If karaoke or games aren't your thing, there will be many people to socialize with and make new friends.

WHEN: December 31st. It starts around 7:00pm and goes until 2am or until the last person leaves. Please arrive no later than 10pm.

WHERE: Wembly Swim & Racquet Club - 1311 Gaskins Road, Henrico, VA. 23238. The clubhouse will be decorated to welcome in the New Year.

ATTENDEE LIMIT: The clubhouse has a limit of 60 people.

COST: **IMPORTANT INFORMATION**
In previous years, I have charged between $25 and $30 per person to attend gotRVA's New Year's Eve Party. This charge was necessary because I typically spend around $800 to put on this event. This cost includes renting the clubhouse, decorating, food, meetup fees, and more.

This year, I am VERY excited to announce that this year's gotRVA's NYE Party will be COMPLETELY FREE! However, I still have significant expenses to cover, so I would greatly appreciate it if you would consider donating to help out. Any amount would be helpful. Thank you!

ATTIRE: In previous years, the dress code has been "dress to impress." While I still appreciate seeing everyone dressed up for a change, I also want you to feel comfortable. Therefore, no "dress to impress," but please, still keep it "classy." I kindly ask that you avoid wearing t-shirts and jeans.

WHAT'S SUPPLIED: Clubhouse, All New Year-themed decorations, Set up and Clean up, One appetizer, BBQ Meatballs, Bread/rolls, Ice, plates, napkins, cups, utensils, etc., Champagne and Sparkling Cider to toast at midnight, Karaoke system and board games.

WHAT TO BRING: This event is potluck-style, so please bring a delicious side dish to share, along with your own beer, wine, or liquor. Also, don't forget to bring your party attitude and singing voice!

SCHEDULE FOR THE EVENING: 7:00pm - 10:00pm: When guests arrive, please hang your coat on the coat rack by the door and pick up your name tag. Place the food on the tables and the drinks at the bar. Enjoy the evening by eating, mingling, and singing.

10:15ish: Music stops for Announcements.

11:45: Pouring of the Champagne and Sparkling Cider.

11:55: We turn on the TV and start the countdown. After that, the party continues until 2am.

2AM: Take down and clean up happen. We need volunteers to help clean up.

ADDITIONAL INFO: Please be responsible when drinking. You can stay longer to sober up, and/or get a friend to drive you home, or you can call an Uber or a Taxi. Either way, it's a lot cheaper than risking a DUI.
