Practical AI: Build Your First AI Tool (No Coding Needed)
Ever asked AI to build something, got a wall of code back, and had no idea what to do with it? You're not alone, and it's not you. It's the approach.
In this hands-on 2-hour session, you'll build your first working AI tool with a simple, step-by-step method that keeps you in control and cuts out the overwhelm. The method works with whichever AI you already use, whether that's ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, so you can keep using it long after the session.
What you'll do

  • Try building something with AI the usual way, and see where it gets messy
  • Learn a structured method for guiding AI, based on Andrej Karpathy's approach
  • Use it to build a working tool on Google Workspace, step by step
  • Leave able to say, "I can use AI to build something."

Who it's for
Working professionals with no coding background who want to do more with AI than chat. If you've tried and got stuck, this session is for you. If you're an experienced developer, it'll likely feel too introductory.
