Dear Folks,
this Sunday let s visit the topic of Emotional Intelligence (vs IQ)
A few jump-off points to get into conversation:
• what is Emotional intelligence, what are the signs that someone is emotionally intelligent
• Is Emotional intelligence more important than Intellectual intelligence or which features of EI can be more relevant to you, when you compare them to the Intellectual intelligence ones.
• How do you grow emotional intelligence, if you can? Does it have to be innate?
• Is there a time you implemented emotional intelligence in your life? , what’s a time when you did not? does it involve outbursts of anger?
• Is there a reasonable age/ life phase, when you’re expected to develop EI?
• Does high emotional intelligence lead to better Relationships, or more emotional burden?
• Is emotional intelligence more beneficial to yourself or to others?
• does Emotional intelligence manifest equally in men as women? And Is it valued equally across cultures?
• Can Emotional intelligence be used in business?
• Can emotional intelligence be used to manipulate?
Keep updated

The goal of the Practical Philosophy Club is to create a community that is open to discussing ideas that can be used practically in everyday life. this group isn’t aligning necessarily with the specific scope that „philosophy“ and „practical philosophy“ may have in the academic world **We don't have topics that are off-limits and look to discuss all sides of a topic in order to:
- help you understand your point of view,
- Give you different perspectives, and
- realize that we all have some common ground and just because someone isn't on your "side" doesn't mean they are your enemy.**
We value communication, simplicity, balance, honesty, and discernment as values to live by, and look to build a community around these values. The typical meeting is about 10-15 minutes of banter to warm up before we move to introduce the weekly discussion topics. If the group is large we will split into separate groups so as to maintain a conversational tone within the discussions. With about 15 minutes left in the time, we bring all of the groups together and conclude.
