San Antonio Sketching Basics for Absolute Beginners

If you have ever wanted to learn how to draw but felt intimidated by the blank page, this session is for you. We are hosting a casual, low-pressure gathering in San Antonio designed specifically for people who are picking up a pencil for the first time or returning after a long break. The goal is to move past the fear of making mistakes and focus on simple techniques that make sketching feel approachable and fun.

We will spend our time together going over the very basics, such as how to hold your pencil for different effects, how to break down complex shapes, and how to get comfortable with the process of observing the world around you. You do not need to bring anything fancy—just a sketchbook and a pencil if you have them, and a willingness to learn. It is a quiet, supportive space to practice alongside others who are also just starting out.
