Sustainability Circle of Life

Details

In this diverse modern world, we often ask ourselves ~ are my actions sustainable? Life is beautiful, and we as humans can enjoy and connect with nature in a balanced way. Everyone in our lively group is at different stages of their journey, each bringing a unique perspective to the table. We all desire a world that works for everyone and enjoy participating in activities that are good for ourselves, our community, and our planet. Together we discover and explore what it means to be sustainable. This leads to the question ~ How can we facilitate balance?

We use the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals as our primary teaching and learning tool.

  • No poverty
  • zero hunger
  • good health and well-being
  • quality education
  • gender equality
  • clean water and sanitation
  • affordable and clean energy
  • decent work and economic growth
  • industry, innovation and infrastructure
  • reduced inequalities
  • sustainable cities and communities
  • responsible consumption and production
  • climate action
  • life below water
  • life on land
  • peace, justice and strong institutions
  • partnerships for the goals

We meet on the last Monday of every month from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. for fellowship and to discuss our upcoming projects that are related to education, activism, and modeling/practicing sustainability.

Hope to see you there!
