Introduction to Go

An introductory workshop to the Golang programming language.

Agenda

In this workshop, you will learn the following:
Introduction (30 min)

• What is Go?
• Why the hype around Go?
• Where is Go used?
• Examples of Go powering data science applications

Hands-on (~7 hours)

By end of this workshop, the attendees will have a good grasp on the fundamentals of Golang and will be confident in taking up small projects in Go.

Pre-requisites

• Some experience in programming
• Laptop with minimum 4 GB RAM (OS: Either Windows, Mac OS or Linux)
