PRACTICALLY AI LEEDS #2 🚀

After a fantastic launch event as part of Leeds Digital Festival, Practically AI Leeds is back for event number two!

Our first event brought together people from across the Leeds tech community for an evening of practical AI talks, great conversations and plenty of networking.

Now we're looking forward to doing it all again!

This time, we're teaming up with T5 Digital, who are kindly hosting and sponsoring the evening at Avenue HQ, Leeds.

We've got a technical, demo-led session planned, exploring how to build and run AI agents using AWS.

As always, expect practical insights, real examples, no sales pitches and plenty of opportunities to meet others from the Leeds tech community.

🎤 BUILDING AI AGENTS WITH AWS (WORKING TITLE)

We've all heard about AI agents and agentic development, but what does it actually mean to build and run them?

How do you move beyond the terminology and start creating something that works?

David has been experimenting with running agentic AI workloads using AWS and will be sharing what he's learned through a combination of technical explanation and live demonstrations.

Rather than just talking through slides, he'll be getting hands-on with code, deploying agents into an AWS environment and showing how they work in practice.

The session will explore:

• What agentic development actually means and where it can be useful.
• How developers can start building AI agents using AWS.
• Exploring AWS managed AI services for running agentic workloads.
• Live coding and demonstrations of agents being deployed and executed.
• The practical considerations and challenges involved in getting agents working.

The aim is to demystify agentic software engineering and give developers a clearer understanding of how these systems can be built.

Expect plenty of live demos, technical insights and opportunities to ask questions throughout.
