Agentic AI is moving from prototypes to production—and the OpenAI Agents SDK is at the centre of that shift. In this session, Tibor Bicskei will walk through how to use the new OpenAI Agents SDK to build structured, reliable automation with tools, handovers, and built-in guardrails.

He’ll unpack how to compose agents, use one agent as a tool for another, and manage safe handovers between them. Tibor will also touch on Logfire, a tracing and observability tool designed to make agent behaviour transparent and debuggable—crucial for production readiness.

Building Agentic AI Applications

Expect a grounded, code-first session that shows what it actually takes to build maintainable, auditable AI-driven workflows. Tibor will illustrate how structured orchestration and guardrails make agentic systems both powerful and predictable.

By the end, you’ll understand how to combine the flexibility of LLMs with the discipline of well-engineered automation—and how to start using these techniques in your own projects.

Who Should Attend

Software engineers, platform engineers, and tech leads who want to move from prompts to production—especially those exploring agent orchestration, workflow automation, or AI-driven developer tools.

Why It’s Worth Attending

You’ll see how to make AI agents practical: not just clever, but reliable and observable in production. Plus, you’ll meet a growing community of engineers in Manchester, the UK’s most AI-ready city, who are hands-on with building the next generation of developer tools and automation systems.
