Lightning Talks
Details
We’re running a Lightning Talks edition of Practically AI — a fast-paced evening of short, practical demos and war stories from engineers using AI in real production workflows.
This event is currently open for speakers. If you’ve built, shipped, broken, or fixed something using AI in your day-to-day engineering work, we want to hear from you. Lightning talks are 10-15 minutes, demo-friendly, and focused on what actually worked (or didn’t).
Speakers will be announced next week. For now, expect a strong line-up of developers talks covering AI-assisted coding, dev workflows, testing, CI/CD, and AI-powered tooling — all grounded in real engineering constraints.
Who Should Attend
Professional software engineers, platform engineers, and engineering leaders who want practical, production-ready uses of AI — not theory, not hype. If you build, ship, or operate software, this night is for you.
Who Should Attend
Lightning talks mean maximum signal, zero fluff. You’ll see multiple real-world examples in one evening, meet other engineers working through the same problems, and come away with ideas you can apply immediately. It’s also a great way to plug into Manchester’s applied AI engineering community.
