Practice English in a Supportive Online Environment : Back to School

Details

Hi Team,

As children return to school, let's explore education:

  1. What does a "good education" mean to you?
(What values or skills should students learn in school?)
  2. How was your school experience as a child? What subjects did you enjoy the most?
(Did you attend public or private school? Was it different from today?)
  3. What subjects or skills do you think are essential for students today?
(In the past it was reading, writing, and arithmetic—what about now?)
  4. What is the role of technology in education today? Do you think it’s helping or hurting students?
(Consider online classes, smartphones, or AI tools.)
  5. What are the biggest challenges students face in school today—in your country or around the world?
    (Stress? Cost? Access to education?)
  6. Should education focus more on job skills or personal development? Why?
(Think of learning to code vs. learning to be a good citizen.)
  7. How important is learning English in your home country? Why or why not?
(Is it part of the school system? Is it seen as a tool for success?)
  8. What do you think the future of education will look like in 10–20 years?
(More online? More focus on mental health?)
  9. If you could design your own school, what would it be like?
(What would you teach? What kind of environment would you create?)
  10. What is one thing you wish you had learned in school that would help you today?
(Life skills? Financial literacy? Emotional intelligence?)
