PPC Walk on the Rock Creek Trail

Details

Join PPC for a walk through the woods on the Rock Creek Trail, beginning at Aspen Hill Local Park. Come out for conversation and a little exercise with other Poly and Poly-interested folk while enjoying the glorious spring weather. We'll see whitetail deer, wild turkeys, and plenty of squirrels.

The trail alongside Rock Creek is paved and mostly flat. We'll walk north towards Baltimore Road, then return to the start. Total distance is about 3.2 miles (5.1 km). I'm flexible in regard to direction and distance; open to your suggestions.

We'll assemble at the trail entrance by the water fountain adjacent to the circular parking area. If there has been wet weather prior to the walk, the trail may be wet and muddy in spots ... wear suitable footwear in that case. In the event of rain, we'll postpone the walk to another date, check back here if inclement weather threatens.

There's a large parking area adjacent to the trail. If there is an event on the ball fields and the lot fills, there will still be plenty of street parking by the park entrance.
