Details
Hi everyone!
Please join us on Saturday, March 28th, for a screening of Blaga’s Lessons at Kino Lucerna. The movie begins at 18:00.
You’ll find me (wearing a bright pink/flowery scarf) at the Lucerna café (Kavárna Lucerna, on the first floor: take the stairs opposite the box office) from 5.30 pm.
The movie, directed by Stephan Komandarev, won the Grand Prix-Crystal Globe at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 2023, and is now being showcased as part of the Bulgarian Film Festival. The film follows Blaga, a ‘seventy-year-old recently widowed former teacher and a woman of firm morals. When telephone scammers con her out of the money that she had saved for her husband’s grave, her moral compass slowly begins to lose its bearings’ (See here.)
Come enjoy this screening and stay for a drink and a chat about the film afterwards!
If you’d like to join us, please purchase your own ticket here. I will be sitting in row 2 seat 4.
Kind request: if you register to attend but are unable to join, please change your RSVP accordingly.
Hope to see you there!
