Daily releases in the bank
Michael Vlach
Achieving daily releases in the highly regulated bank environment of the high-performance trading FX platform. Using software engineering practices invented and battle tested at tech giants like Google we can deliver to production daily (and soon every commit) straight to production with high confidence, minimal disruption, and low defect rate.
Containerizing applications with special requirements.
Petr Černohouz
Some applications are not ready for containerization and requires special treatment when run. This can be ok when running them on physical (or virtual) servers, but running them in containers is nearly impossible. In this case study we will explore containerization of the application that requires hostname in a specific format and how we can run such application in a docker container and in the Kubernetes cluster as a rootless pod.
Understanding resource consumption in cloud-native multi-tenant environments
Alex Ulyanov, CTO of CloudGeometry.
Does your SaaS product pricing model reflect your infrastructure cost? Do you know the price you are paying to serve your clients, or each individual transaction?
This session will explore so-called unit economy, extra complexity in tracking resource consumption created by multi-tenancy, tenant isolation, and containers, shared cost of the platform, and ways to track them.
The speaker - Alex Ulyanov, CTO of CloudGeometry.
A distinguished system architect and hands-on engineering executive, Alex has built and run data solutions for systems as diverse as IoT, AdTech, SaaS and many others. Driven by both his passion for new technologies and by his experience proving how (and if) they work, he leads by example. He has designed and implemented many solutions and platforms, ranging from start-up MVPs to large scale corporations including GE, AWS & Sinclair BroadCast Group.
