How to Start Your Business in the Czech Republic

Thinking about starting a business in the Czech Republic and want help deciding whether it's a good idea?

Or have you already begun, but you're not sure whether to establish a limited liability compay (s.r.o.) or to stick with the simpler trade license (živnostenský list)?

This workshop will help decide whether and how to start your business in the Czech Republic as a non-Czech citizen. Along with discussing differences between the trade license (živnostenský list) and the s.r.o. (similar to an Ltd. in the UK or an LLC in the US). We will also discuss the legal aspects of setting up a business here, such as how to establish the company and tax responsibilities for both options.

Questions will be welcomed throughout the talk.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

JUDr. Jan Bárta is an experienced attorney-at-law, operating especially in the fields of (a) intellectual property (IP) law, (b) Information Technology (IT) law, and (c) commercial law more generally. Jan has great experience with establishing and operating startups; he is also responsible for their successful transfer to stable entities.
