Social anxiety is not a biological, genetic attribute.
It is a set of limiting beliefs, lack of skills, and a lack of practice.
It's like being afraid of the ocean because you can't swim. Bill Lennan struggled with social anxiety for decades, but today he talks with strangers every day and enjoys public speaking.
When his tech career started, he was a shy introvert who avoided talking with people outside my small circle. He thought being a good coder was all he really needed. Then two events catalyzed a change in his life and career. Because of those events, he created an incremental system to reverse his social anxiety, enjoys presenting, and ultimately enjoys public speaking.
And then he taught 100+ people how to replicate his results.
And a few months ago he published a book on the first part of the process.
In this expanded talk, you will:
- revisit the foundational perspectives
- learn a simple recipe for effective networking (and have a chance to practice)
- learn the simple system I used to earn visibility and promotions.
