Let’s practice Czech together by playing games. All levels welcome.

We’ll start with Zbodni salát, a simple yet fun card game where you collect sets of vegetables and fruits to earn the most points. With the help of a Czech, I’ve put together a set of model sentences we can use to practice accusative, genitive, and nominative cases, for the six selected foods.

Many other games are available in this space, so if some people would like to play something different, or our RSVPs exceed the player count, there are lots of options. Codenames and Dixit, for example, are other fun games which can be good for language learners. Advanced or native speakers are also very welcome at this event, and can take their pick from this library’s library of games, or play the linguistically easy ones with the rest of us.
