The talks:

1. Schemas (Jaroslav Bohmer, SessionM)
   Being able to validate parameters in rails as early as possible provides additional scaling and flexibility possibilities. Even simple things like validating a database models' attributes requires lots of hard to understand code, that you can't share that code between controllers. That validation code is also unusable if you wanted to run the same validation on the same data imported through a means other than a controller. To solve this, we've created a gem that makes parameter and object validation better, simpler, and easier to understand.

3. Dynamic Active Model (Alex Gordon, SessionM)
   Often times when interacting with a new database, having the ability to use Active Record and explore around in a rails console is very nice for learning about it. However, sometimes this isn't possible if the application is not built on Rails. So we fixed that by creating an open source gem that allows you to browse any database with Active Record syntax, dynamically.
