Futurist and Acclaimed Author Launches Debut Techno-Thriller

The Globe Bookstore, Pštrossova 6, Prague, CZ

Richard Yonck, a global futurist and widely acclaimed nonfiction author, will unveil his debut science fiction novel, Mindstock at a special launch event in Prague. The reading and book signing will take place at The Globe Bookstore, Pštrossova 1925/6 Prague 1 110 00 on Monday, October 27th at 19:00.

Blending the visionary insights of a professional futurist with the storytelling power of speculative fiction, Mindstock is a gripping techno-thriller that asks urgent questions about humanity’s relationship with technology, power, and survival in a rapidly shifting world. Drawing on Yonck’s extensive background in foresight studies and nonfiction writing, the novel combines fast-paced suspense with intellectually provocative themes, placing it at the forefront of the next wave of speculative storytelling.

“Science fiction isn’t just entertainment—it’s a way to prepare ourselves for what’s coming,” says Yonck. “This book is my attempt to take readers inside futures that may be closer than we think.”

The Prague launch will feature a live reading, a Q&A with the author, and a signing session. The event will be conducted in English and is open to the public. Readers, expats, and sci-fi enthusiasts are invited to attend.
