Cycling & Sightseeing Weekend in South Moravia

Hello to all members of Prague Social Cycling Meetup!

I would like to invite you for a weekend cycling trip.
We will explore the south Moravian region which is one of the best places for cycling in the Czech Republic. Besides that, we will find time to visit a local wine cellar and pop across the border to Austria!
You don’t need to have a bicycle to join this event. You can rent one at Breclav Train station for 475 CZK/2 day

HIGHLIGHTS

• Easy cycling along the cycling trails of south Moravia
• UNESCO World Heritage Lednice – Valtice Cultural Landscape
• Wine-testing in a local winery

MEETING TIME & LOCATION:
We will meet at 7:30 am on Saturday September 8 at Prague Main Railway Station.

The train journey to Breclav takes 3 hours.

The group size is limited to 12 people. And, because the point is to socialize and meet new people, there is also a minimum number of 8 participants needed for this trip to go ahead.

ITINERARY
You will receive detailed itinerary a few days before the trip

Return to Prague
We should be back at Prague Main Station on Sunday at 21:07

DIFFICULTY: Easy to Moderate
Saturday: 40 km of cycling, Sunday: 50 km
mostly flat terrain on both days

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU: Pack light
sunscreen, insect repellent, rain coat, pyjamas, toiletries

You don’t need to bring a sleeping bag.

PRICE: 1390 Kc or 1190 Kc with Discovery Pass*
Includes round-trip train fare, camp site accommodation (in cabins for 4 people, bedding is provided), Sunday breakfast, bike storage fees, myself as your guide and organizer, Tour Operator Insurance and a photo report.

What is not included: Bike rental, wine-tasting admission, food and drink (apart from Sunday breakfast)
