STOA: Summertime Session

Details
(CR: Eric Nyquist)
In the spirit of both busy and lazy summers, we'll continue the more casual format from last month with some slight updates and, weather permitting, we'll meet outside in one of our city's parks. Instead of waiting until the actual event, I'll post the passage that I'm going to read on the Monday before the event. This should give participants a chance to formulate and polish their thoughts on the topic well before the start of the event.
First, we'll do a round of questions to clarify the ideas introduced in the passage (a few paragraphs, not pages) and to share our perspectives after having reflected on it for a few days. After that, we'll explore the idea together. A chilled bottle of wine and some light snacks will be provided. Make sure to bring yourself a bottle of water and anything else you'd like to share!
Per usual, it's highly encouraged to arrive close to 18:30 in order to converse casually before we jump into the more formal discussion. Discussion begins at 7:15. Please don't arrive later than this so as not to disturb the flow of the conversation.
If there's any interest in providing a passage for a future event feel free to send a DM.
