Literary Reading Circle: “Happy Days” by Samuel Beckett

We will read/watch this short play (30 pages; 1:17:00 video) and discuss our reactions and interpretations together. You can find an excellent film adaptation here. As for the text, I haven’t found a good online version but you might be able to obtain one.

This is an absurd play about a woman buried up to her waist in sand going about her day. To say more would spoil the pleasure of watching it. I look forward to hearing your reactions!
