Literary Reading Circle: “The Dead” by James Joyce

We will discuss our reactions and interpretations to “The Dead”—one of the most anthologized and discussed works of short fiction in the English canon. It is 26 pages and can be found for free online here. The story deals with questions of mortality, relationships, and polite society in general.
