Details: Get to know the Prairie State Canoeists (PSC).

This is the first of our New Members’ Events for 2024, and we want to meet you and tell you all about PSC. We will meet at Busse Lake for a pleasant paddle. We will play water games, practice our paddling technique, get acquainted, eat lunch. This is flat water, easy-paddling; non-members are welcome at this event.

You must have your own boat and paddles, and your properly-fitting PFD must be worn at all times on the water. Bring lunch, drinking water, and a change of clothes, which you can leave in your car if you wish. We plan to hit the water about 10:00 AM for about 3 hours of (more or less) organized activity; you can stay as long as you like. Bring a chair for the lunch break.

The Busse Lake Boating Center is accessed from Higgins Road; look for the sign on the south side of Higgins just east of I-290. Here is a map:
