Mass Timber Conference Review and planning monthly mass timber events in PDX.

60 people are already signed up for this event on linkedin so I don't know how many will show up but there is interest.

Over 3,000 people were in Portland in March for the International Mass Timber Conference. We were there but only had time to meet up with a few hundred people. Join us to discuss the event and network - and discuss and plan upcoming monthly mass timber events in Oregon and mass timber hackathons.

We plan on organizing monthly/regular events focused on connecting architects, engineers, fabricators, real estate developers, builders, real estate finance professionals and others in our growing community.

AGENDA for this meetup on Wednesday

• Beer/Cider/Wine and discussions and general networking about the mass timber industry in Oregon and how to connect people and companies working in the industry.
• Discuss and plan upcoming mass timber meetups and venues to host them (mass timber buildings, tours of companies/factories in the supply chain) and topics for presentations.
• How to best openly promote the network online
• Discuss possible partnerships with complementary organizations in Oregon focused on wood, sustainability, forestry, housing, technology, startups, real estate finance, woodworking, advanced manufacturing, architecture, construction, etc. Adding partnerships including with organizations like the Mass Timber Coalition, Tallwood Design Institute, AIA, OSU/UofO/PSU, Home Builders Association, Missing Middle Housing Fund, etc.

Bring you ideas and share them. Mass Timber is a big opportunity for Oregon and one of the solutions to the housing crisis.
