What we’re about

Pregnancy and early parenting can feel isolating—especially when everything is loud, opinionated, or trying to sell you something.

This group is for expecting and new parents who want steady, human connection and clear information without pressure, fear tactics, or perfection. We center the lived experiences of Black, Indigenous, Brown, and LGBTQIA+ families and welcome parents and partners at every stage—before baby, after baby, and everywhere in between.

We meet in ways that feel doable and grounding: walk-and-talks, parent gatherings, gentle movement, shared meals, and time to just be around other parents who get it. Alongside that, we offer optional monthly education spaces:

Free comfort measures classes to help you feel more prepared and supported

Childbirth preparation classes offered on a pay-what-you-can basis
No one is ever turned away.

This group is hosted by a local doula and community educator, in collaboration with Birth Ruckus, a community-rooted education initiative. Teaching here is conversational and practical—meant to support your confidence, not overwhelm you.

We also host dad- and partner-focused gatherings, because support matters for everyone involved.

If you’re looking for community that feels calm, inclusive, and actually helpful—this is a place to start.
