Walk and Talk for Parents – Before & After Baby
Details
This is a low-pressure walk-and-talk for expecting and new parents who want connection without having to explain themselves.
We’ll meet, take a gentle walk, and spend time talking—or not talking—about pregnancy, birth, early parenthood, and whatever else is coming up. There’s no agenda, no teaching portion, and no expectation to share more than you want to.
This space is for:
- Parents before baby arrives
- Parents after baby arrives
- Partners who want to be involved
- Anyone who just wants to feel less alone in this season
You don’t need to be “prepared.” You don’t need the right questions. You can walk the whole time, pause, sit, or head out early if needed.
Come as you are. Bring a stroller if you have one. Bring water. If you’re pregnant, a belly band or other support that feels good to you may be helpful. Bring yourself.
** A gentle reminder: This is a consent-centered space. Please don’t touch pregnant bellies or babies/toddlers, and don’t ask. Parents will always let you know what they’re comfortable with.
**Another note on sharing: We want this to be a supportive space, not an overwhelming one. Please avoid trauma dumping or graphic birth stories. Sharing reflections, learnings, or things you wish you’d known—in hindsight and with care—is welcome. When possible, we encourage a “five wins before one hard thing” approach to help keep the space grounded and supportive for everyone.
