Welcome to Vancouver UFO & Preparing for Contact
Explore the fascinating world of UFOs and extraterrestrial encounters with us. This is a space for curious minds and passionate researchers to come together, exchange insights, and share personal experiences related to ET contact and the unexplained. We dive into evidence, discuss theories about why extraterrestrials are engaging with humanity, and examine how these phenomena may be influencing society and consciousness.
Our group is also a welcoming community for those who may feel isolated in their interest—here, you’ll find like-minded people and the opportunity to form lasting friendships. Instead of being speaker focused, most meetings are facilitated group discussions with our collective knowledge and wisdom.
Whether you’ve spent years investigating these topics or you’re just beginning your journey, you’re invited to be part of meaningful conversations that challenge the limits of conventional thinking. We regularly host meetups, talks, and guest speakers, and we’re cultivating a strong in-person community in Vancouver. "Preparing for Contact" in our name, comes from ICER at https://icer.pt/ .

Online Community and Participation
We’re building an online community open to everyone with an interest in UFOs, extraterrestrials, and the deeper questions of contact and consciousness. You don’t need to be a ufologist to get involved. If you're interested in hosting a meeting or sharing your perspective, simply reach out to our organizer, Brian.
Brian Ruhe founded the Vancouver UFO Meetup on June 3, 2009 and he is part of a school of thought within ufology, but this Meetup welcomes all viewpoints. We encourage respectful dialogue, and all voices are welcome to participate and be heard. You can explore Brian’s evolving research and ideas here:

Zoom Etiquette
We hold frequent online meetings—usually on weekends or whenever our guests and hosts are available.
To make things easy, we use a passcode-enabled Zoom room, which allows you to bypass the waiting room entirely.
📌 Zoom Guidelines:
• Please mute your microphone when not speaking—this helps improve the quality for those editing and watching the videos later.
• If you prefer not to appear on camera, simply turn your video off.
Members are requested to leave comments after the event, on that event page.

Note on Donations
These events are free and no donation is expected but if people are inspired to help cover Brian's costs, you can give a donation to him. This Meetup costs $496/ yr and the Zoom account costs $230/ yr. Some meeting rooms are free, some have a fee.
Brian Ruhe and Co-Organizer Dr. Nancy Liu, believe that humanity is not yet ready for full UFO/UAP disclosure. Some information, if released prematurely, could cause societal chaos, fear, and dangerous misuse of advanced technology.
Buddha taught that the three highest blessings in life are

In the spirit of the Buddha’s teaching to “honour those worthy of honour,” we recognise those who, through skill, discipline, and unwavering resolve, have safeguarded humanity from premature disclosure of extraterrestrial realities. Whether through national security service, scientific stewardship, or classified research, these individuals bore a burden few could comprehend.

ETs, Consciousness, Meditation & Video Discussion
Location not specified yetOrganizer Brian welcomes members to his home for small weekly gatherings exploring the connection between the ET/UFO phenomenon, consciousness, and human spirituality.
Each meeting begins with a short ET- or UFO-related video viewed on a large screen. We then sit in quiet meditation for 10 minutes, reflecting on the themes that arose. Afterward, we use a talking-stick format so each person has time to share what came up for them. If time allows, we’ll go around a second time for open discussion. The ET phenomenon appears closely linked to consciousness and spiritual experience, which is why meditation is a central part of these meetings. Brian has taught over 2,000 classes in meditation and Theravada Buddhism through adult education programs across the Vancouver area over 20 years.
The meetings take place in East Vancouver, near the bus stop at Commercial Drive and Victoria Drive. Space is limited to six participants, so please only RSVP if you plan to attend. The address and parking will be sent to confirmed attendees.

Who Are These Beings and Why are They Here? & City-Sized UFO Motherships
VPL Downtown, 350 W Georgia St, Vancouver, BC, CAWe are meeting bi-weekly in this elegant, quite space at the library. We’ll share our research and theories about why ETs are here and explore what insiders, experiencers, and governments are revealing about ETs, Disclosure and more and what it means for humanity. Brian will give a short talk on city-sized UFO motherships in orbit, as described in his blog and video at https://www.brianruhe.ca/two-200-mile-size-ufo-motherships-above-earth-with-video/ .
Personal Encounters: Everyone gets a chance to speak — we use a talking stick so all voices are heard. After Brian's short talk we will do the talking stick plus a moderated discussion then the last 20 or 30 minutes are social time to mingle. Whether you’ve seen something in the sky, had contact experiences, are a researcher or simply want to listen, you’re welcome in our friendly circle.
Theories & Speculations: We’ll discuss their possible motives, messages, and roles in our ongoing evolution.
