Note: Terry Tibando has been ill and is not able to give his planned talk. Other members are invite to give a short talk and Brian will speak on the topic in the tilte.

Join us in-person presentation and discussion at the Coquitlam Public Library (City Centre Branch – Board Room).

What if ancient Buddhist teachings already describe non-human intelligences, multiple realms, and luminous beings?

Could devas, orbs, inter-dimensional entities — even Bigfoot — fit within a traditional cosmological framework?

In this talk, our Organizer Brian, explores parallels between early Buddhist texts and modern reports from the UFO community. Rather than dismissing extraordinary experiences, we’ll consider whether Buddhist cosmology offers a larger map of reality.

After a focused presentation, there will be extended time for Q&A and open circle sharing. Participants are encouraged to bring their own experiences, questions, and perspectives.

Before turning to ufology, Brian was ordained as a Theravāda Buddhist monk and authored three books on Buddhism. Since 1996, he has taught Buddhist philosophy and meditation in over 2,000 adult education classes in the Vancouver area. His current work examines how ancient cosmology and contemporary anomalous phenomena may point toward expanded consciousness and a greater reality.

Brian gave this talk to our Meetup group in 2012 and that video is on our channel in two parts:
Karma, Rebirth and UFOs in Buddhism - 1 of 2
Buddhism, Bigfoot and UFOs - 2 of 2
and on April 4th this year:
Bigfoot, Buddhism, UFOs, Orbs and Angels, with Brian Ruhe

A related discussion from a previous Meetup with Canadian Buddhist monk Ajahn Punnadhammo can be viewed on our Meetup channel, here: Buddhist Cosmology, UFOs, Orbs, Devas & E.T.s with Ajahn Punnadhammo - Part 1
Also, Buddhism and UFOs, with Pannobhasa Mahathera
