What we’re about
Prescott Community Care for Animal Lovers is a welcoming space for people who love, care for, and grieve animals. Led by animal chaplain Jennifer Baker of Paws for Compassion, this group offers compassionate presence, conversation, and practical tools for navigating the emotional and spiritual dimensions of life with animals.
Through community gatherings, classes, and partnerships, Jennifer supports individuals, caregivers, and animal professionals in honoring the human–animal bond — including times of joy, transition, illness, loss, and caregiving fatigue. Her work blends listening, ritual, education, and reflection, creating space for both meaning and mutual support.
This community also connects with Jennifer’s Yavapai College Community Education classes, which explore topics such as animal companionship, grief support, caregiver care, compassion fatigue, and simple rituals for honoring animals. Whether you attend a class, join a gathering, or simply come to listen, all are welcome.
No matter where you are in your journey with animals — celebrating, caring, grieving, or learning — this is a space where you don’t have to carry it alone.
