New trails in the Dells - Intermediate

This will be a tour of a couple of the newer trails on the southern end of the Storm Trails near Watson Lake, plus a preview of the new Glassford Hill summit trail (under construction). We'll walk in on the Peavine for about a mile, and explore portions of Glassford Hill, Tennille, Captain's and Splash trails before connecting back to Glassford Hill which we will follow part way up the hill before turning back and re-connecting with Peavine.
This will be a small "lollipop" with two "sticks." Total distance approximately 7-8 miles depending on how far up the Glassford Hill "stick" we decide to go. There will be lots ups & downs on rocky terrain, with some slick-rock hiking and we may even get our feet wet at some points.
Temperatures will be cold when we start out, so make sure you bring layers, as well as plenty of water and snacks for our morning adventure!
We will meet at the Prescott Peavine south parking lot on Sundog Ranch Road in Prescott. There is a $3 fee to park. Click the map below for directions from Google.
