51 Area Lollipop

The West Spruce Extension make it possible to hike a bunch of trails North of Copper basin doable as either a loop or as a lollipop. This combination is one of them.

We're going to start at 9AM so it will have warmed up a bit since this is all above 6,000 ft.

West Spruce will be the handle of the lollipop and a combination of several other trails including one marked "51 Area" (see map in photos). We be heading down the steeper side of the lollipop and coming back up the through the Ponderosas.

It will still be a pretty energetic hike - know your limits!

Temps should be around 45º to 55º - gloves are always good!
