A nice long hike in the forest 🌲
Details
This willl be a nice single track trail hike through the forest, passing both upper and lower Goldwater Lakes and Banning Creek. I will take you the full route of Feldmeier Trail 330, which is rarely hiked because lots of hikers bypass it. It’s really beautiful and has lots of great inclines and declines.
We will be hiking a big lollipop loop starting on Goldwater Lakes Trail 396, to Twist and Shout Trail 372, to Apple Blossom Trail 373, to Banning Creek Trail 81, to Feldmeier Trail 330, and finally finishing back on Goldwater Lakes Trail 396 for a total of 9.6 miles.
Please dress in layers because we will have a cold start, but will definitely warm up as we hike. Bring water, electrolytes, some sweet and salty snacks, sunscreen and a hat. We will take breaks and rest since this will be a long hike.
We will meet at the Watershed Trailhead, just off of Senator Highway, past Goldwater Lakes. The trailhead is in a dirt parking lot on the left side of the road.
Attached are photos and a map of the hike.
