This is the very popular Glassford Hill Summit Trail, hike #5 on the Spree. It's short (about 4 miles total), but moderately strenuous with a 900 ft. elevation gain to the summit, where we will be rewarded with a 360 degree view of Prescott Valley, the Bradshaw Mountains and Yavapai hills. The hike starts out as a gentle upgrade for just about a mile, then continues with steeper switchbacks for the second mile up to the summit. The trail is very wide and easy to navigate.

We'll meet at the NEW Glassford Hill Trailhead on Jasper Parkway in Prescott Valley. If you're coming from Prescott, take Hwy 89 into PV, and turn left onto Jasper Parkway (by Culver's). Travel about 1.2 miles and you'll see parking for the trailhead on the left.
(NOTE - if you accidentally park at the old parking lot on Castle Drive, that's OK. It's just a short walk of maybe 200 yards up to the new lot, just follow the trail up the hill and cross Jasper Parkway to get to the new lot.)
