The walk is 7 miles and is a figure of 8. Featuring the hill with no ascent, Basil Point, Sunderland, Sunderland Point and Sambo's Grave.
There will be a lunch stop approximately half way round, please bring a packed lunch and something to drink.
This is interesting coastal walk, good for bird watching. Sunderland and Overton were both ports serving Lancaster. Sunderland is interesting for several reasons and is tidal, cut off twice a day.

Route: M6 north to Lancaster. Exit M6 at Junction 34 onto A683 towards Heysham. Follow signs for Heysham until you see signs for Overton. Left onto Moss Road. Continue to follow signs for Overton. travel through Overton to the end of Main Street. CP on right opposite the Globe.40 Main Street, Overton LA3 3HF England
