Abbey Village to Darwen Tower 10.5 Miles

Wednesday 6th August 2025

Starting from the junction of Bolton Road and Dole Lane, we will make our way past Rake Brook and the Roddlesworth Reservoirs to Hollinshead Hall before we make a steady climb to Darwen Tower via White Hill. From the tower we will drop down to Sunnyhurst and then to Earnsdale Reservoir before making our way back past Roddlesworth to the start.
The walk is on good quality tracks and paths with around 1500 ft ascent.
