Brinscall roundabout

Meet at Brinscall baths 10.20am for 10.30am start. Long trousers advisable. Walking poles useful. This is classed as a strenuous walk due to short, but steep climb up Great Hill, good level of fitness needed.

This is a circular, scenic walk along quiet roads, undulating paths, past quarries, farm land and through Roddlesworth Wood before we climb up Great Hill the hard way. There are a couple gully's to step across on the Hill. There are styles, of which some have seen better days and care must be taken climbing over them. Some of the paths are well trodden and eroded, with exposed stones and tree roots. There is probably a field or two of cows, and sheep to walk through. There will also be muddy patches. It is a challenging walk in parts, but the views on route are worthy of this experience.
Lunch will be a 20 minute stop at the top of Great Hill apx 4.5 miles into the walk..we then take the well established paths back down hill skirting Wheelton Moor and Heapy Moor.
