Semi urban walk in and around Kendal visiting Scout and Cunswick Scars, Kendal Castle and Castle Howe with river side paths through Kendal. Roman fort is near but not accessible by footpath. 10 miles with some moderate climbs. Highest point 229m

Meet CP in Underbarrow Road. Closest Sat Nav LA8 8AH

Route: Exit M6 Junction 36. Follow A590, A591 & A6 into Kendal. In Kendal turn left at traffic lights into Allhallows Lane opposite the town hall. Continue Beast Banks and Greenside into Underbarrow Road. CP on the right about 1.5 miles from the town hall.
Note 1 There are two CPS here park in either. The second CP is the better one.
Note 2 Don't continue A591 to Underbarrow Road. Underbarrow road is bridged over the A6 with no access to it.
