River Tubing @ Gunpowder River in Monkton, MD

Let's get together for a fun filled day of tubing on Sunday August 10th, 2025 (10am) down the Gunpowder Falls River. Your trip will involve maneuvering in and around obstacles, through shallow areas and flat water rapids. Rocks create white water, therefore you should expect to navigate around rocks during your trip. The tubing will be a 2½-hour route. We will all meet by the bike shop, and walk down the path to the river. It’s about a 15 min walk!

Itinerary
•10:00am -Park/meet/arrival time.
Rent/Buy/inflate tubes
•11:15am - Start the river adventure.
•1:30pm - Finish up.
•2:00pm - Optional - Inverness Brewery (16200 Markoe Rd) 5 minutes away

•Good Vibes :)
•Water shoes(Walmart/5 Below) or old sneakers you don’t care about. ***Flip flops/sandals may float away***
•Water proof phone case holder. (If your phone has a crack or dent in it, I’d leave it behind)
•Fast drying clothes
•Fanny pack
•Bug spray
•Sunscreen
•Sunglasses
•Drinks/snacks/water ( BYOB and 420 friendly😬)

Please travel light cause you will have to carry what you bring lol…

Don’t worry, the water is calm and knee-deep in most parts, you can literally stand up in it.
•Worried about your hair?
No need to worry, you won’t be submerged, unless you fall into the water.

🅿️:Parking is terrible - very limited parking is available at Monkton Bike Shop & throughout the town of Monkton. Free street parking is available. Please adhere to parking signs (they do be towing). If you can uber or carpool that would be great. Park along Monkton Rd and Old Monkton Rd (see pic attached).

Feel free to bring your friends, boos or whatever! It’s open. All I ask is everyone be on time cause once we leave to the river - we ain’t coming back.
