It is useful for tying, carrying, lashing, shelter building, fishing, toolmaking, and countless tasks. Yucca makes an especially satisfying "first meetup" because a single leaf can be processed into strong, workable fibers, then reverse-wrapped into a continuous length of cord. The process is simple to understand, challenging enough to reward practice.
