Let's Go Jump In a Lake! PrimetimeATX Foundation 2nd Annual Meeting and Picnic
Details
It's here!
The 2nd Annual PrimetimeATX Foundation Annual Meeting, Picnic, and Gathering of the Tribe(s) is set for a day of fun, food, and yes, a little needed business, like officially electing two seats on your Governing Board for the coming year.
Again we're going to meet out on Lake LBJ about an hour out of Austin on my family's own little private peninsula directly across the lake from Horseshoe Bay. There we'll swim, picnic, play games, play pool, and or just relax at our gated private lake house while we also take care of some business such as selecting two board of directors for the coming year.
The event will be free of charge. You just need to get yourself out there. While the property does have some parking, if we get a lot of people coming that space may go away pretty quickly, so we will be organizing some carpools.
Unlike last year, everything works at the lake house (including air conditioning!), so we'll have food, swimming, pool, darts, lawn games, and inside table games to enjoy.
Nominations are also open for two Board of Directors positions. Details on that will go out soon. If you wish to be considered for the Board or run for one of the seats, let us know by May 1, when we'll start absentee voting. Pursuant to the structure we implemented at last year's meeting, each Board position is for a two year term. However, as last year was our first under the new non-profit structure, we decided that two of the initial Board members would stand for re-election in one year so that the entire Board would not be new after one election. Those two position were mine and the vacant position originally occupied by Tom. Over the last year Cat has been graciously filling that seat. My intent right now is to stand for re-election if you guys will have me. I haven't spoken with Cat yet to determine if she wants to continue, but I will let you know. Andy, Frank, and Patty will still have one year left on their terms.
