Cinema Empathique #3: Sad Jokes

Details
CINEMA EMPATHIQUE, our collaborative film event series with Edition Salzgeber, invites you to an evening of queer cinema, open dialogue, and meaningful connection.
On the first Saturday of each month, we showcase handpicked films that illuminate the richness of queer life — stories of love, identity, and community that are moving, bold, sometimes challenging, and often deeply beautiful.
After the screening, we open the space for a community conversation: What resonated with you? What do you want to share?
Our July film is „Sad Jokes" by Fabian Stumm:
Joseph, a gay movie director, raises a child with his friend Sonya. When she is hospitalized, he becomes the boy's primary caregiver and has to juggle daily tasks with his artistic work.
Come as you are, bring your friends, and be part of a growing, inclusive community. Tickets are available on a donation-basis via Eventbrite:

Our venue for the evening is Prince Peach — a warm, fully vegan café in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg, and a cozy haven for creativity, culture, and queer connection.
We’re excited to welcome you!b
