[ONLINE] Lean/Agile Lightning Talks (Princeton Agility Group)

Details

We will be doing Lightning Talks online on March 27th!

Lightning talks are short presentations by our members and professionals from their circles.

Each presentation is 10 minutes long and 5 minutes for Q&A. If you don't like a topic, wait—we'll move on to the next one soon!

Here's the list of presenters and their topics for this event:

  1. Fernando Barrancos will present on "Agility is Red and Blue." What can we learn from Hollywood scriptwriter's history?
  2. Suruchi Patki will talk about "Dysfunction Mapping": every Agile team faces dysfunctions: complaints, rule-breaking, best practice overruling, etc. A dysfunction mapping tool identifies symptoms while explaining the purpose behind resolving them, helps find solutions identified through hypothesis, and measures success.
  3. Michael Van Geertruy called his talk "Hybrid Agility." He will explain how Project management and agility in 2024 work well together and solve some problems that alone can't. He will guide us through a specific case study where deploying project managers into scrum teams helped solve a significant issue in engaging waterfall customers.
  4. Greg Mester will focus on "Using OKRs as a Part of Coaching Sessions" - rather than asking, "What problem can we work on today?" Greg recommends using personal OKRs with coachees to establish goals and center the discussion on how the coachee is doing toward their goals. Reaching goals is always valuable and gives something to kick-start the conversation and motivate everyone.
  5. John Margetis will present on the topic of "Bottom-Line Agility."

Join us for this exciting and informative event!

All experience levels are welcome. We are an official Scrum Alliance user group, so build your SEUs while listening to some great topics!

In addition to learning something new about cutting-edge Agile topics, our events always provide participants with opportunities to network, meet other Agilists, and exchange job opportunity-related news.
